finished 7 months nomad and came back to Japan!
Short-term travel in Southeast Asia is fun, but long-term nomading is very exhausting
I seemed to have fallen into a loop of negative thinking.
It was becoming increasingly difficult to view my situation objectively.
In many cases, my situation is often not as bad as I think it is. However, making a big decision when I can't observe and evaluate my situation objectively doesn't seem like a good idea.
On the other hand, forcing myself to continue the activity causing my negative thinking (building a software business) will only delay my mental recovery.
So, I've decided to take it easy and rest for a few weeks.
I mean…what’s the point if you can’t enjoy this moment right now? Japan has such a good weather and such a good quality of life. if you cannot enjoy it it’s unfortunate,
Fortunately(?) I caught a cold and had a high fever about 2 weeks ago in Vietnam, which was a good trigger for me to start my vacation.
I need to distance myself from the first-person perspective and take a slow rest until my mind becomes calm again.
For the past 7 months, I've been busy as a nomad in Southeast Asia, which might be contributing to my state.
I’m truly glad to be in a place where I can feel comfortable now.
Actually I’m feeling better and more energetic these days after coming back to Japan 🔥
Burnout is REAL
I used to think burnout didn't exist…until this year.
It’s real and I've realized that understanding how the human mind functions is crucial when undertaking something as hard as starting a business for a long period.
Right now I’m reading Chatter: The Voice in Our Head, Why It Matters, and How to Harness and it’s helping me a ton so far :)
Good news
I sold Supabox! Although the sale itself was free, Savio will be running it from now on, and we will split the profits equally.
I needed something to distract myself, so I made some music!
Lately I've been into Synthwave so I made it. I prefer the slowed version.
Give it a listen while you're working :)

Dear builders, content creators, and dreamers: plz take care of yourselves
love the synthwave tracks! how did you make them?
ive been doing the whole nomad thing where i was also going to a different place every month since january and DAMN that gets tiring really fast, especially if youre trying to keep up work and also side projects, it feels so nice to stay longer in a place and ground yourself
